Resolver ~ RL 210 MBP
Modbus Plus Multiturn Resolver
AVG-Autotech's RL210-MBP resolver consists of two resolvers in one housing and coupled together by a gear train. The two together provide absolute position over up to 128 turns (equal to the gearing between the two) of the resolver shaft. This makes the RL210-MBP and ideal position sensor for shut-height type applications, where shut height adjustment motor makes several turns over the ram travel and, yet it is desirable to have absolute measurement of the shut-height.
The 17-bit position data is encoded into binary format and is passed to a Modbus Plus subsystem within the resolver. The data can then be accessed by a Modbus Plus master device over the Modbus Plus network.
