AVG Uticor's PMD 470 and PMD 475 are versatile 4-line displays with 20 vacuum fluorescent characters 0.358" (9.1mm) high per line.
PMD 470 directly connects to a Modicon PLCs that support S908 remote I/O. PMD 470 emulates a D908 module so that it exchange data with the PLC. The PMD470 is programmed as a specific drop number.
PMD 475 directly connects to a Modicon Modbus Plus local area network system. The unit is a node on the network with its own network address, which allows it to exchange data with the PLC. The PMD 475 can be programmed to monitor PLC holding registers for message control, data set information, and LED control.
These products feature chaining, blinking, scrolling, printing, and centering messages. Hardware features include data logging, 115 chained-message queuing with prioritization capability, and the ability to program messages in U.S., English, Swedish, French, Danish, German, Cyrillic, and Japanese Kana international character sets.
Any ASCII terminal or personal computer with an RS-232C interface can be used to program a whole network of message displays. AVG Uticor's free custom software provides the menus, prompts, and help screens that make message entry and editing easy... And, the message simulation feature lets you see your message, as it will appear on your AVG Uticor PMD 470 or PMD 475.
