Master Message Displays
Master Message Displays store several (memory dependent) messages. These messages and their characteristics (such as blinking, centering, scrolling, etc.) are programmed using a programming soft-ware (runs on a PC) available free from AVG Uticor.
A Master Message Display continuously polls the connected PLC for a message number and several con-trol parameters. (PMD 375 & 475 PLC interfaces function in our modules. The first mode polls a specific range of holding registers in the PLC. The second mode puts the PMD 375/475 in the position of being a slave device on the sModBus Plus Network. In this mode, the PMD 375/475 will only reply to com-mands it receives. The PMD 375/475 will not initiate any transactions on the ModBus Plus Network.
The fourth mode supports a ModBus Plus node sending ASCII data to the PMD 375/475 and receiving replies to the ASCII com-mands that it sends.) Based on the con-trol parameters, the Master Message Display can display the message, send the message to one or a group of Slave Message Displays (described below) over Uticor Slave Network. A PC can also control the Master Message Display.
Master Message Displays come in two configurations:
(Displays only-no keypads), such as AVG's PMD 180, PMD 370, and PMD 375
(Displays and keypads), such as: AVG's PCI 185, PCI 185E, PMD 470, and PMD 475 Models. |
